Looks wonderful! Are you going to let a climbing rose (or a plant like that) grow on it?

Thanks for the comments ladies! Marit, I have purchased a couple of climbing white rose plants from a lady in the UK and I'm waiting for everything else to be done before starting on the landscaping. It did occur to me to have one go up to the balcony railing as well. Stay tuned! :-)

It's looking great. I'm glad there's someone else like me who doesn't notice all kinds of things until they show up in the photo :)

It is a wonderful house Cynthia. You are doing a beautiful job.
Isn't that style of Victorian called Italianate? I am going to Google that style house and see some photos.

My grandmother owned a three story one when I was little. I used to hide from her inside the Dumbwaiter. I could use pulley system inside it and go from the third floor to the basement and back. She was the grandmother from hell. I hated spending the night with her. lol

Catherine - I love stories like yours - so funny! I was wanting to put a dumbwaiter in my house (mini) from the kitchen on second floor to dining room on first, but there's not enough room. I've been thinking this house is french second empire - I'll post my inspiration house in my right column to show you. However, I could be wrong and often am...but that's what I was aiming for. Thanks for the comments!

O' dear Cynthia I am not making it anymore :(
I had to close down in the autumn of 08 cause to the economical crisis. We hired a bureau to take care of the subscribers and then the number of subscribers just did not increase as expected. I was sad and the readers was sad. I meet Rosanna trough the magazine
by the way, and we met in person at the miniature fair in Milan!! She's so nice :)
I keep looking at your house (sigh) it looks so amazing!!!
I have always had a soft heart for those American( and Canadian:)) big houses with all their towers and porches and nice details. And everything looks and is so solid, due to the use of oak, and not pine as we use a lot of in the nordic countries!!!!
I think I must make another house like yours one day....you are my inspiration!!!
Have a nice day Cynthia
Hugs

Hello Cinthia, I'm your new follower; I knew your blog through Synnøve. I really like your home is growing. Coincidentally, today I also ordered the railing to the windows, hopefully come soon.
Mine is a small, modest Georgian home and I love her very much!
If you like, come see me
Good job
