Sweet Dreams

What could be better than a comfy bed, a glass of wine and a good book...?

Been doing a little antique shop browsing lately to see what kind of things I could find for minis. I was specifically looking for some old hankies to use for lacey sheets. Well I found a few nice (and clean!) ones and here is the result. The rest I can cut up for folded linen in the closet. I also found a cute little porcelain "Limoges" type of lidded box with a painted romantic scene on the top, which you can see more of in the picture below. I just love it.

I also recently ordered a bunch of picture frames which I need to touch up with paint and fill with pictures...and this little model ship which will adorn my more "masculine" library - cute eh?

WOW!!! You sure found some wonderful things to enhance your bedroom. I love how you used the hankie on the bed. What a GREAT find the Limoges 'type' box was. I wish I could see the top of it better. :-)
That ship is fantastic!!! It must be really tiny. Another happy find.

Thanks, ladies! Catherine, I've added a picture of the box in close-up :-)It says Limoges France on the bottom. The ship is about 1 3/4" high.

What beautiful stuff! I like everything, although I do not know what is appropriate to drink wine before going to bed (not always, at least !)...
I especially like the gold chain with medallion: I can not find decent jewelry around ... I am also looking for a cameo: have you heard about?
Your home is enriching treasure really special :-)
Only we know what this is exciting :-)

Beautiful objects. The old handkerchiefs are beautiful. I also have them, but they are not in my dollhouse. Now I'm going to find them and put in a doll house.

Not only have did you find great items, but you know how to take pictures correctly to show them off. Excellent job. I also have a few of those trinket boxes, but don't think they are Limoges. I never thought to use them in my dollshouse, but then, they might be a tat bit too big. How big is yours? And you boat reminds me that I somewhere have an unfinished boat. Should find it and finish it too. Thanks for sharing.

Hvor ser det hyggeligt ud! Jeg kunne godt ligge der og slappe af med en god bog og et glas vin.

Cynthia,

Thank you for telling me about those.
I have been looking for tiny keys... everywhere! I really don't want to have to make them. Can you tell me where you bought yours? Thanks! :-)

Catherine these keys came with the doorknobs I put on the front doors of my Beacon Hill house. I had collected a few this way and put them together on a little jewellery ring. I'm not sure if they are sold separately, but if I find any I'll let you know :-)
